Privacy Policy

Effective date: 16 October 2026 · Applies to the LetterIQ mobile app

4PawsLabs ("we", "us", "our") operates LetterIQ, a honeybee-themed word-guessing game where you guess a hidden word within a limited number of attempts, across four difficulty tiers and a shared Daily Challenge. This Policy explains what information LetterIQ handles, and why.

LetterIQ has no accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, no email address, and no phone number anywhere in the app.

1. Information the app stores on your device

LetterIQ stores all of your game data locally on your own device only, using standard on-device storage. This includes:

The display name you entered when you first opened the app
Your level progress in each difficulty tier (Basic, Easy, Intermediate, Expert)
Your in-progress board for the word currently being guessed, so you can resume if you close the app mid-game
Your Daily Challenge streak, best/last solve times, and completion history (used to show your personal calendar of past days)
App preferences, such as light/dark theme and haptics (vibration feedback)

None of this is linked to your real identity, and none of it is sent to any 4PawsLabs server - we don't operate a backend for this app at all.

2. Advertising

LetterIQ shows ads through Google AdMob, Google's mobile advertising SDK:

Rewarded ads - optional, and only shown when you tap a "Watch ad" button yourself, to reveal a letter in your current word ("Reveal") or to recover a missed Daily Challenge streak
Interstitial ads - shown at natural breaks: after completing the Daily Challenge, and after finishing a level past level 10 in a given difficulty tier

AdMob may collect data such as your advertising ID and general device information to select and measure ads, and - where you consent - to personalize them. In the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland, LetterIQ shows a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) before any ad loads, and respects your choice. 3. Sharing your results

When you tap "Share" on a solved Daily Challenge or your streak calendar, LetterIQ generates an image entirely on your device and hands it to your phone's own share sheet. This only happens when you choose to tap "Share" yourself - the app never uploads or transmits this image anywhere on its own.

4. What we do not collect

We do not use any analytics or crash-reporting SDK beyond what AdMob includes by default. We do not collect your name beyond the display name you type in locally, your email, phone number, location, or photos. We do not require or support account creation of any kind, and LetterIQ has no multiplayer or chat feature. LetterIQ has no in-app purchases.

5. App permissions

LetterIQ requests the following device permissions, mostly included by default by the ads library the app is built on:

Internet & network state - to load ads and fetch app updates
Advertising ID access (AD_ID / Ad Services) - used by AdMob to select and measure ads, as described in Section 2
Display over other apps / wake lock - bundled by default with the AdMob SDK to show full-screen ads and keep the app responsive while one loads

LetterIQ does not request camera, photo library, microphone, location, or contacts access.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. The only data sharing that happens is the standard exchange needed for ads (with Google AdMob) to function, described above. We do not share anything with data brokers or any other third party.

7. Your rights (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)

Because LetterIQ does not collect or retain personal data on any 4PawsLabs server, most data-subject rights under India's DPDP Act, 2023 (access, correction, erasure) have nothing to act on - there is no stored record to look up on our end. Data handled by Google (AdMob) is governed by Google's own privacy policy and user controls. If you believe we hold something about you that contradicts this Policy, contact us using the details in Section 9 and we'll investigate and respond within 30 days.

8. Children's privacy

LetterIQ does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There is no account creation, no data collection form, and no field anywhere in the app to enter personal details beyond the local display name.

9. Grievance Officer

10. Security

All network requests LetterIQ makes (to AdMob) use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Everything else - your name, progress, and settings - stays on your device and is never transmitted to a 4PawsLabs server.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as LetterIQ's features change. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Effective date" above.
